In 2010, I wrote a screenplay for Ibsen’s HEDDA GABLER. I discovered three days ago that filmmaker Steve Balderson committed my screenplay to sound. That is fine with me; I am not angry at all. He gives me due acknowledgment, for which I am profoundly grateful. I listened to the sonic melodrama yesternight, and it is stately, elegant, and incredibly intense. I might quibble over the fact that the director changed my ending slightly, but on the whole, I approve of what he has done. I highly recommend entering this aural landscape.
Below is a trailer for the audio reinterpretation of my screenplay!
I am finalizing a twenty-hour lecture on Nietzsche. It is a fifteen-part video series; I am refilming a number of the videos and transcribing my words. I will publish all fifteen videos and a partial transcript sometime next week, probably on 6 August 2020.
